Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of MonteScholar. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them.
1. Our Services
MonteScholar connects clients with verified academic writers for dissertation, thesis, research, editing, and related services. All work is provided for research, reference, and learning purposes.
2. Order Process
Clients submit a project brief describing the work required. We review the brief and issue a fixed quote. Once the client approves the quote and completes payment via PayPal, the order enters the bidding pool where verified writers may submit proposals.
An order is assigned when the admin accepts a writer's bid. From that point, the writer is responsible for delivering the work by the agreed deadline.
3. Revisions
Clients may request free revisions within 14 days of delivery. Revision requests must describe the changes needed in sufficient detail. Marked-up files may be attached.
Each revision resets the delivery timeline. Writers are expected to address revisions promptly and completely. Once a revision is resolved and the order is re-delivered, the 14-day window restarts from the new delivery date.
4. Client Disputes
If a client believes the delivered work materially fails to meet the brief, they may open a dispute within 14 days of delivery — the same window as the revision period.
How the dispute process works:
- The client opens a dispute through their order page, describing the specific issue.
- Both the client and the assigned writer submit evidence — the original brief, the delivered work, and any relevant communication.
- MonteScholar's admin team reviews the evidence and issues a binding decision within 5 business days.
- Possible outcomes: full refund, partial refund, or release of full payment to the writer.
Because MonteScholar holds all client funds until delivery is confirmed, the admin's decision is final and enforceable. The platform's decision cannot be overridden by either party.
5. Writer Payouts
Writers earn the amount of their accepted bid. The platform's commission is taken from the client's payment, never from the writer's payout.
Payouts are released 14 days after an order is marked delivered, unless a revision or dispute is pending. If a revision is requested, the release date resets from the new delivery date.
This 14-day window gives the client time to review the work and request revisions. During this window, the writer's funds are held in trust.
6. Reassignment
In rare cases where a writer is unable to complete an order — due to illness, personal circumstances, or inability to meet the deadline — MonteScholar will:
- Notify the client immediately with a revised delivery timeline.
- Return the order to the bidding pool with the original brief and requirements intact.
- Assign the order to a new writer as quickly as possible.
What happens to the money:
- If no work was delivered, the writer receives no payment. The full amount is retained and applied to the new writer.
- If partial work was delivered and accepted by the client, the admin may release partial payment to the original writer. The remaining amount applies to the new writer.
- The client pays no additional fee for a reassignment caused by writer unavailability.
7. Confidentiality
All client briefs, files, and communications are encrypted and stored securely. We never share personal information with writers beyond what is necessary to complete the work.
Writers may not contact clients outside the platform. All communication is routed through MonteScholar support to protect both parties.
8. Refunds
Refunds are issued through PayPal to the original payment method. Timing depends on PayPal's processing — typically 3–5 business days.
Refunds may be issued for: cancellation before a writer is assigned, a winning dispute, or non-delivery by the deadline when a reassignment cannot be arranged in time.
9. Prohibited Uses
MonteScholar does not support submitting delivered work as a client's own in violation of their institution's academic integrity policies. Clients are responsible for using our services in compliance with their institution's rules.
Accounts engaged in fraud, abuse, or attempts to circumvent platform safeguards will be suspended without notice.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to all active accounts. Continued use of MonteScholar after a change constitutes acceptance.
